The more I think about it. It benefits the Big XII even more to add teams now.
The name of the game now is all about getting at-large bids. The more the better. The more good teams the better the chance. The goal is to get one or two at large bids every year.

Or We are going to see the PAC 12/Big 12 try to raid each other.

If I'm the Big 12 commissioner I try to do the following.

First - I'm making some financial deal to make sure that OU and Texas stay in the conference.
2nd - Try to add any 2 or 4 of the following teams Arizona State, Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Utah, UCLA, or USC.
- It doesn't make sense for any of these teams to join the big XII but the commissioner has to at least give it a shot.
3rd - If I can't get any of those teams I'm going after 2 to 4 of the following - Pitt, UCF, Cincy, Houston, BYU, or Boise State.
- Each of these teams gives the Big XII value in one way or another. In the long run they strengthen the conference more than in the short term.
