As of right now we at least have something to try to prove with playing these big schedules. We arent gonna make the playoffs or anything but we get good exposure and play big name teams.

If the new playoff model gets adopted we can still play the big teams but nobody will care anymore. We dont have anything to prove trying to make an NY6 bowl game. Itll just be us turning up our noses thinking we're too good for the American who would now have a shot at a national championship just about every year. At that point we lose what we were trying to prove and people are gonna see we care more about being loners and looking tough than actually winning.

We would lose our exposure and recruits because the regular season becomes way more important for all the teams in the top 6 conferences. Once playing the big name teams doesnt matter anymore and you could play for a title at way more schools, why come here? And why show our games if BYU fans are the only ones who are gonna watch?
