WSU used to have a live cougar (Butch). Well, several of them, as did BYU at one time.

Anyway, in the mid 70's, WSU was getting ready to play Oregon on Saturday. They held a pep rally in Martin Stadium on Friday. Back in that day, not uncommon to get 3-4,000 students to the pep rally.

Butch was brought out in his mobile cage and put on the 50 yard line. Guessing he hadn't eaten much recently, so, he was pretty hungry. They took some ducks and held them out to him (on the end of a pole) right to the bars on the cage. Hungry Butch made a super aggressive claw/catch of the first duck and pulled him in the cage. After that light snack, they offered him up another one. He did the same.

The student section went nuts cheering.
