If the price of housing goes up and the price of renting goes down
Then more people want to rent than buy.
The main issues are houses sitting empty and Government driving up the cost of housing by mandating higher and higher standards for livability, allowing activists to drag out development timeliness, requiring bribes to approve projects, banning building all together, and zoning restrictions.
