Without BYU, Utah would still be in the WAC. Yes, BYU thought Utah was a friend.

There were some decision makers that were very surprised by how Utah behaved and continues to behave toward BYU.

That doesn't mean they didn't think Utah would not go to the PAC12 but after BYU going to bat for Utah in multiple occasions when Utah could have been left behind it sucks that Utah did everything they could to stab BYU in the back.
