just applying for a license in CA for my business. We've already set up foreign entities in several states and acquired the necessary licenses to operate our business in those locations. At most, it's taken us 3 weeks to get it all done.

For CA, it will take us 4 months to get everything set up and approved by their bureaucracy. We could start generating revenue immediately which would lead to tax income for the state. But nope, we sit idly waiting for someone to process our application.
