I was there in the 90s. But the years have beaten me down to a point of just not caring much beyond watching and pulling for them but not emotionally investing much.
I wish I could do that with BYU football. BYU football losses almost always lead to a bad night sleep for me and bizarre replaying of plays and decisions that could/should have gone another way. I think on the Taysom 2 point conversion loss to Utah I hardly slept that night in a half awake/half asleep state of replaying what should have gone different or what should have been called. I've tried to fix it by exercising after a loss to try to burn off the nervous energy. Somehow even if we only win by the skin of our teeth a win leads to a good night sleep but most losses without somehow getting rid of the fight or flight feeling in my veins lead to a bad night of sleep.
Though I'd consider myself a Jazz fan, I don't have the same irrational emotional investment in it.
