Schedule with no conference championship on the line kinda takes you out of the spotlight with other big games going on and you lose your shine. And then with recency bias you get passed by teams you're probably better than.

the problem is the type of indy schedule you have to schedule and play to get top 12. Most of the time, it just isn't
