competitive offer to retain him?
Seems to be one of the more intriguing off-seasons for Utah. Either gamble with injury history to stay a top 3 team in the west, or let Conley walk and be back to a 4-8 seed with no real hope at contending. Can’t really get anyone else so if you’re Ryan Smith you probably try for a 3yr/80-90 million contract and take your chances right? Luxury tax blah blah, Jazz aren’t a 1 seed all that often so who knows what they’re thinking.
Does Boston now have the cap space to offer something like 3yr/90-100 million? Conley seems to be the perfect fit at both locations when healthy. Him with Smart, Brown, Tatum, and Horford would be competitive in the East I think
