Very commonly used back when there used to be "Homemaking" once a month. In EQ
they'd ask all the husbands to babysit the kids that night so the sisters could attend. As if that needed to be calendared, arranged and some sort of debt owed for that service, but ONLY if the fathers could swing it. We would have a large enough number of sisters unable to make it because their husbands weren't available/willing that we had to address it specifically in EQ. THIS IS NOT BABYSITTING, THIS IS FATHERHOOD.

Largely fell on deaf ears. I would always encourage my wife to go and had no problem staying home with the kids, but rarely did I feed them because I knew what comes next.
