I didn't say it was harder for us. I said it wasn't the cake walk that all the
posts today said it was.
WalMart job in Orem pays $13. A student works 20 hrs/week, same as we did in college. During two semester makes 32 weeks X 20 hrs X $13 = $8,320. According to you that covers the $7-8K needed. You say campus jobs pay less than Wal-Mart, ok. I understand.
Additionally there are PELL grants and other resources today that didn't exist earlier.
POINT IS:I am not claiming it is any easier for you today than it was for me. I am just pointing out that those who say it was super easy for boomers don't know what they are talking about.
