Friendship (my wife). Was funny to hear about the conversation...

The old friend started talking about how they had all these goals and plans and we're planning on retiring early after buying a house in cash etc.

My wife got all excited and was telling them about how we are the same. They were surprised, so when my wife told them we saved and invested most of the money we made her friend was like "in the stock market?" We don't gamble like that...

Then it spiraled into mentorships and how they had these friends that mentored them and they had been retired for 5 years but they just mentored other people out of the goodness of their hearts so they could help other people retire young as well.

She felt pretty betrayed when I was like, that's an MLM, she wanted to call the friend up and give her a nice scolding but haven't heard from her since.
