My UVU graduate doesn't care. My oldest son starts BYU in the fall. Hopefully,

he converts to BYU football — or at least attends games. He's returning from a mission and is very scholarly (and a musician). He never was really sporty. He is a Laker's fan because of his uncles, cousins and mother and he watches their games. If he can get into the NBA, then he can certainly get into BYU football (please).

There seem to be fewer sports fans among the youth in general. Social media dominates their attention.
