I know Tuiaki, we served in NYC together...here's a quick story
I'm probably outing myself if he ever reads this but I thought I'd share. Yes, this has nothing to do with his coaching abilities but speaks more to his commitment to his faith. I had just come home from my mission and had left my last area in Queens with an investigator that just couldn't commit to baptism. I met her and her family while walking home one night and she was working in her garden. I invited her to church. Next day, there she is in church with her small family in tow but had to leave early because her kids were acting up. Over the next few months she had become a staple of the branch, albeit unbaptized, and would participate in midweek activities, cook for the branch, and came week after week. Well, I tried everything to get her to commit to baptism but she just wouldn't do it...and so I went home with a bit of sadness knowing that she was not a member.

A few months after coming home I called her and she said that not only had she been baptized but was in the Relief Society presidency. She said that Elder Tuiaki had been critical in helping her commit to taking the important step of baptism. So, I called Tuiaki and we talked for a long time and I asked what he did to get Liz to commit. He said, "I fasted for her." I remember thinking that he was relying on the lord rather than his own words to convert. I'll never forget that and it was a true lesson into what truly converts somebody and it was Tuiaki that taught me that.
