They have built a whole universe of characters and ridiculous plots. They started out as a bunch of street racers and have gradually become elite super-spies with advanced combat and computer training who are saving the world on the regular. I'm pretty sure some of them have super powers now, seeing how they are throwing people through concrete walls and pulling down helicopters with their bare hands. They keep bringing back characters that 100% died in previous movies, and the explanations are just *chef's kiss. Each movie involves working with the villain from the previous movie, so the gang just keeps getting bigger. The best part is, much like the church's mission, it's all about family.

These are movies that know what they are and it is beautiful.
