He’s always been that way.
He never bothered speaking with, let alone consulting with, the ADs whenever he made a decision or implemented a plan that affected football.
His downfall began two years ago when the 12 AD demanded to be heard. By then 8 of the 12 presidents, who hired him, had move on and the new ones took notice.
Hubris is apparently still his middle name.
