How difficult are you looking for? Cedar Breaks has nice views, but not much to
do. The Alpine Pond trail is nice with young ones, as is Hidden Haven trail halfway down the canyon between Parowan and Brian Head. Both of those are pretty short and not too steep. If you go to Duck Creek Village, there is a hike nearby to Cascade Falls that is groomed and also easy for very small kids. It does get busy however. If you want something a bit longer, opposite the trailhead to Cascade Falls is a trail that heads up the mountain called the Virgin Rim Trail. It is steep for the first half mile, but once you get on top, it skirts around the rim of all the country dropping down into Zion. That has great views, and you can go as long as you want before turning around. That is one of my favorites. If you want a couple tougher hikes, go down the canyon towards Parowan, and right before you get into town, you will see a turnoff towards Yankee Meadows. There are a couple very tough climbs on both sides of the road in Noah's Ark trail and the Vermillion Castle trail. They are steep and longer, but great views at the top. They are considered moderate as they are easy trails, but the steepness made it miserable for my youngest kids (below 6) and they turned around with mom. But all of those are good options with relatively short drives if you don't want to go all the way to Bryce or the Kolob portion of Zion.
