Parker was the 28th pick and Lopez the 24th. I think by most opinions Lopez was
the better player at the time of the draft but Parker was two years younger. Obviously Parker ended up the better player, yet there were 27 picks in front of him so it’s not like the Jazz were the only ones that missed on him.
Lopez’ knee issues really seemed to eat at his athleticism.
