The Big XII media began talking about it the second the playoff expansion
was announced. The Big 12 media people think expansion is an important measure to strengthen the conference in the new playoff era.
You haven't heard about here because it's been a tiring topic and BYU is not even in their expansion mentions.
These are teams that are mentioned the most:
Arizona/Arizona State
Colorado
Nebraska
USC
UCF
Houston
Cincinnati
Don't expect any real conversations until the playoff format is finalized. But I think the Big XII will take a serious look at expansion again.
