Most bands peak at album 2 or 3. After 10 or so years together, they generally stop releasing anything relevant.
I don't know, maybe Love At First Sting by Scorpions (#9) or Moving Pictures (#8) by Rush.
Aerosmith had a couple of killer albums in the late 80's, but they had a lot of outside songwriting help.
