That is how long I can remember there being a controversy over the name. They would have come up with something if there was money to be made off of it. Redskins, though I completely agree is bigoted, was also iconic. Cowboys vs Redskins was the game of the year. Anything they come up with will be anticlimatic. And btw, I predicted a few years ago they would go the soccer route and rename as the Washington Football Club. I was soooo close
