I hope you realize that they don’t get 18k in a 600k home sale
They pay their brokerage a significant percentage. 40-60% in most cases. Let’s call it an even 50% for the sake of ease. So 18k just dropped to 9k.
Then there’s Uncle Sam. So drop another 30%. 9k just turned into 6k.
In hot markets, selling a home may be easy, but normally it takes time and effort to move a 600k asset.
Like em or hate em, they don’t just sit and collect 18k for a simple listing.
