Oh, and NIN version is better instrumentally, creatively and emotionally.
Cash taps into a nostalgia of being old and life having passed you by. That certainly resonates with people. But honestly if anyone other than cash did that version and it sounded wave for wave exactly the same It wouldn’t have got traction.
