I think he should just go that route and he could do community college on the

side. His career path in any of those trades is going to be great if he sticks with it. If he is dead set on BYU or BYUI reach out to local electricians here and tell them he is interested. I don't know the demand in Rexburg but in Utah county there is a huge demand for employees.
