It continues to be a complete mystery to me as to why the program has struggled for so many years. Once a national powerhouse, one promising coach after another has failed. Part of the issue has been firing guys really quickly. A big part of the issue has been really highly rated recruits never seeing the field. Lots of legal problems, academic problems and guys just quitting.

I have come to wonder if a BYU/Bronco style of recruiting might be the answer. Tough to be good when your team is constantly in a state of flux. I have to wonder what a class of less athletically gifted, but higher character guys could do, but then I think about Vandy in the same league.....
