In Season 8 of the Simpson's Homer takes a new job and goes to work for a super villain named Hank Scorpio. And while working for Scorpio, Homer divulges that one of his dreams is to own the Dallas Cowboys. When Homer quits the job and moves back to Springfield he has a present from Hank Scorpio.....

The episode aired in November of 1996, 10 months after the Cowboys won Super Bowl XXX. Since that time, the Cowboys have never made it back to the Super Bowl. But the Broncos have been to the Super Bowl four times since then ('98, '99, 2014, 2016), and won three out of those four times.
