I think the key with wakeboarding is the speed. If you have good water you can
wakeboard at just under 20 miles per hour and get big air. Many people are driving around at 25+ because of choppy water. I have no ACL in my left knee and haven't had a problem with it wakeboarding. For some reason the way my legs are kept in the bindings I don't get the hyperextension that can cause me problems. I also snowboard without any issues.
