I remember going back and watching the early episodes--nobody knew who they were
yet. It was pretty awkward. But ends up the best series of them all

Yep. Some really cringe-worthy stuff. But there are some gems. Measure of a Man is one of the best episodes in TNG, IMO.

Yes & no. 1st ep. isn't great, but it introduces Q, who is in many great eps.

Naw. It jumped the shark when they had that episode where warp travel was harming the very fabric of space
