I grew up around horses, ranching, and farming. I currently do not own a single pair of boots, a cowboy hat, or a pair of Wranglers. Neither does anyone in my household. I don't have anything against wearing that stuff, but it serves no purpose where I live (suburban Southern California). If I lived in a rural area, and had some property or horses, then I probably would own some Western wear because of it's functionality. I've seen enough drugstore cowboys in my lifetime, and I don't intend to ever be one.
