The last twenty years began after 49% drop in the SP500 that took 56 months
To break even. Entry points matter. If the market tanks 50% it’s probably a no brainer to do something like you are recommending. Where valuations stand today with a Shiller PE of 38 with a long term mean of 16? I’d be careful.
