directly into a guy on a sport bike on a downtown freeway.
He was a pro though, he laid that bike down and pushed it away and slid probably a hundred feet or more down the shoulder. He was wearing full leathers and ended up with nothing but road rash. But...he literally tracked cycles and had of course laid them down before.
I rode a Harley and there's no way you would get me in leathers in Texas.
The country roads worked pretty well for a while, until a guy ran into my back tire while I was stopped at a stoplight riding out to the country roads. It was less than 5 miles an hour so no damage anywhere but that was when I just decided I was done.
On a lighter note, a turtle tried to run me off the road while riding at night on one of those country roads. It was in the middle of my lane, and I thought it was a rock. I saw it well ahead and just eased over...but as I eased right, the rock kept easing right as well. I thought I was hallucinating.
It was only when I got close enough that the headlight truly lit it up that I realized it was a turtle.
That one just made me laugh, but you can end up distracted riding just like you can be a distracted driver. That turtle and I both almost had a bad night...😏
