They are conservative regardless of what you think happens in their student bodies. The loud 1000 in all these universities are activists trained by Marxists. But 80% of the students are not leftists. Most were raised with family values, come from pioneer stock and maybe a third or more know what it is to farm the land.
Then there is Texas. TT is oil and gas producing and cattle country. Houston is refining (assuming it gets added), Dallas is business, tech and finance, and WACO is cults. All lean much harder right than Austin. BYU should fit right in.
