SEC is conference-centric. They're focused and don't get bogged down by one team
And it works as evidenced by the position they are in today. SEC fans are proud to be in the SEC and chant it.
Look at the Big12. Continually capitulated to one team, Texas. And today that one team has abandoned them anyways.
