You're not going to convince anyone from the B1G, SEC or ACC to leave their conference... just not going to happen. But I do believe the PAC is prime to be picked as easily as the BIGXII is.
If the BIGXII can pick off Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado... and then add BYU and Cincinnati that's a power conference and a money maker.
It's not the SEC... only the B1G can compete with that. However a conference with Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas St, Iowa State, West Virginia, Arizona, ASU, Utah, Colorado, BYU and Cincinnati, that can compete against the ACC.
Think about this... the conference with those teams would have the following TV markets:
Dallas 5th ranked
Phoenix: 11th ranked
Denver: 16th ranked
SLC: 30th ranked
Cincinnati: 37rd ranked
Money is all that matters right now... and that would generate money. It would be better than whatever the PAC was... because you wouldn't need the late late late night games that only 2 time zones will watch.
With that said, I do believe other teams are on their way out of the BIGXII... I think last nights meeting was to see if they can save the conference by keeping OU and Texas, if not it's every man for themselves.
