Texas similar to UC Berkeley? Is that correct?
I’ve been to Austin. I deal with several people that went to school there.

Yes, I know it is “artsy” and has a lot more liberals that the rest of Texas. I know it seems like they are always trying to me more and more woke. But to me, not all “liberals” are the same or to the same degree. I am sure there are examples that people can give as far as some crazy politicians there, as well as Professors.

That being said, most Universities probably have the same issue. So to compare them to Berkeley, which is probably the fat end of that spectrum, I don’t think UT and Austin is that same level. Being in Calif, whenever I go to Austin, I get the feeling that Austin is liberal by Texas standards but it is far from liberal by Calif standards. (Which, I prefer Texas standards, so we are clear).

If I were to compare it to Calif cities, I’d probably relate it more to San Diego or SDSU than Berkley, San Francisco, Bay Area.
