Reality check for anti-Mormon Utes...
BYUtv is a ailable on line.

BYU sports is a ailable on line.

BYUtv already has a good deal worked out with ESPN on rebroadcast Rights and so the name of the ultimate game is eyeballs and exposure.

BYU can easily produce play by play in various languages. It's one if the things that makes BYU so valuable.

The B12 needs exposure. Between ESPN Deportes and BYU rebroadcasting the AMERICAN brand of football and basketball becomes a viewership option at times all over the world. I didn't say 10 million people would be watching live events. But BYUtv is available everywhere and the language opportunities are considerable.

It's not a matter of being commercially viable in the same sense as live broadcasts. It's a cheap means of providing content and exposure. Most European Soccer and much of our western soccer content is tape delayed here. But people watch.

The fact that the church missionaries expose people all around the world to our faith is part of the foundation. But people all over the world also want to see American culture and CFB is a big part of that. The NFL gets watched all over this hemisphere.

If Texas Tech and BYU are playing in Provo and the game is rebroadcast, you don't know if 5, 500, 5,000 or 50,000 or 500,00 viewers are watching worldwide. BYU knows, but you probably don't. But regardless is more eyeballs that see Texas Tech and the Red Raiders are NOT going to complain about that publicity. BYU comes in with the slogan, "The world is our campus" and actually makes it so. None of the B12 programs are going to dislike that new worldwide exposure and the platform content only helps them all internationally.

I could easily see where BYUtv produces campus content from all member institutions from time to time that display the universities technical, engineering, archeological or other special colleges and that makes BYU incredibly valuable to all.

ESPN and FOX will have a say in BYU's 3rd tier rights, but a say, not a final word.
