I don't see the long-term money being much better than being an independent. The remaining schools don't have much national appeal, and Kansas BBall is likely to jump for the Big East if nothing else.

Is it worth locking up everything in what is sure to be a very long-term grant-of-rights and huge exit penalties? Texas and OK can pay those, but I think it would be much harder for us to get out of it if it is a bad deal, and there is little upside to joining what would just be another "left out" conference in the end.
