I think the SEC has been reaching out to UT and OU and not the other way around - otherwise A&M would have known about it and objected to it a LOT earlier.

This round of realignment is about conference destruction and the two conferences that are ripe for destruction from a revenue standpoint are the Big 12 and ACC. They are both very top heavy in their revenues and the top ACC schools have to be HATING their current deal with no feasible option to re-open and re-negotiate said deal.

I think UT-OU is just scratching the surface. Who knows what’s really going on. We wouldn’t have even known this was going on if TAMU hadn’t spilled the beans.
