People here get upset with me for pointing out the negatives BYU brings (non religious category) but it's because I've seen way way too many folks here who think we're a clear shoo-in even with them, that BYU is the absolute no doubt #1 choice.

And the truth is that we're not. For the PAC12, yeah we're probably the best option, though I'm not sure they'd want us.

But looking at the Big 12, the primary advantage we have over UCF and Cincy is that...we were better 30+ years ago? Oh and we've got a lot of seating at our stadium. Which isn't generally a metric anyone looks at anymore since they're more focused on upgrades and the like than cramming as many people in.

I'm absolutely NOT saying that BYU isn't a good expansion candidate. I'm saying we need to slow our roll and not assume we're the one and only quality choice and guaranteed to get the spot if one comes open
