It's pretty obvious they've lost a TON of ground to the SEC goliaths over the past decade, though. And A&M itself has really been hurting them.
I think they're too mortally wounded for posturing right now.
They've conceded to the SEC leadership (that is, to be part of the cartel rather than a competitor). They & Oklahoma leaving together makes just too much sense right now.
It's an absolutely pathetic power-grab --money-grab-- but it's been the way of college FB for some time now. Leadership by subtraction.
