If I am the Big12 and I believe Texas and Oklahoma are gone, then I don't wait around for my other members to get poached.

- In basketball / Olympic sports I add:

This puts the conference at 18 basketball schools. This conference would be the best basketball conference in the nation. You split the conference in two divisions, east and west. Teams in the west play each other twice every year, while playing each team from the other division once. This eases the Olympic sport travel issue.

A football conference with the likes of BYU, Cinci, Boise, Ok St, TCU, Baylor, UCF, etc is a tough conference. The new Big12 could however hang its hat on basketball. Gonzaga, Kansas, Cinci, Houston, BYU, Baylor etc. That is an AMAZING conference.
