Since I'm wasting so much time reading about expansion anyway.
UT/OU help SEC renegotiate a better contract and keep TAMU and Mizzou from going to the SEC. They pull UNC and Virginia because they're waving a ton more money to get to 16.
Big takes Mizzou, Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado as well at Rutgers and Maryland. (Maybe B1G gets Oklahoma and SEC get Maryland).
That leaves KSU, ISU, OSU, Baylor, TT, and TAMU from the Big12.
TAMU is too valuable to lose out on. I think the ACC takes TAMU, in addition to Pitt and Syracuse. With the move to Texas with TAMU the ACC takes OSU, TT, and ISU as well. Some combination of Louisville, Cincinnati, WV, KSU, and Baylor round out the ACC to 16.
Without Colorado the PAC stays at 10.
Eventually the B1G could expand into the south with Duke, GT, Clemson, and FSU.
I think in this situation UT feels good because they hosed TAMU, but TAMU makes the CFP a couple times from the ACC.
BYU still gets left out.
