Basketball doesn't always move the needle, but I think the B12 has a huge opportunity to build a premiere brand in all of college basketball.

Gonzaga isn't happy to be in the WCC. They are now a national blue blood brand. They would be a fantastic asset to any conf from a Bball perspective.

BYU and Gonzaga have a great relationship and potential opportunity for a partnership. If you bring BYU into your conference there is a strong opportunity and possibility to also bring in Gonzaga.

If somehow the Big12 decides to stay together how awesome would it be to have Kansas, Baylor, OK State, BYU and Gonzaga in a basketball conf. If the B12 is to survive they probably also bring in Houston, Cincy and maybe even Memphis. All solid programs that would build an incredible basketball brand. While you're at it you probably don't stop there, but also bring in Wichita State from the ACC to even out the Gonzaga add as non-football programs in the conf.

While it may be a subpar "Power" football conf the B12 has a chance to be a premium basketball conf that would demand a premium TV revenue.
