What's REALLY odd about this is that it has happened during the time of year that is historically most dry – late June
and early July. Even in a normal year with some monsoon moisture, it's the end of July and early August when that spigot usually starts to turn on. Getting all this rain during the historically driest time of year is an unexpected blessing.
