NASA has said that a full metric conversion just in their department would cost them $370m, or about 3x the cost of that
lost Mars probe.
The cost would mostly be in the private sector. Anything that measures or gives measurements- scales, meters, thermostats, thermometers, recipes, maps, designs, lumber, etc.
I like the metric system, but I don’t think a change benefits us all that much now (besides it being cool).

I can’t think of any conceivable benefit to the move that would come close to justifying the massive cost.
