It’s racism, a faked knee injury, mental illness
Or maybe just some performance anxiety because she hasn’t done as well as she used to. She put a lot of pressure on herself by telling everyone she was the greatest of all time, and then when she couldn’t perform to her one expectations at the trials, she got emotional and disappointed. It has been a couple of years since she competed.

Racism? I guess Yahoo interviewed her and she divulged that. Weird that she feels racism in Japan with no crowd.
