That seems to be the real stickler. The luxury task is so incredibly cost-prohibitive and the Jazz really want to keep Michael Connelly. So how does this help them get far enough down to where the luxury tax doesn't just crush them?

That's the exact trade I came up with here 3 days ago. I would then take #22 & Favors & trade for Cam Reddish.
