It pays the bills. It allows for good games. It’s better than where BYU was. It seems semi respectable in the CFB world.
BYUs chances at the CFB playoff are probably no worse in Indy than the Angry 8 conference.
People keep taking like it’s B12 or MWC. I think the program literally closes shop before groveling back to the MWC.
I think today’s developments pretty much assure the B12 is not dissolving right now because if they do, they throw away $160mm in payout from OU/UT- they’re not folding on that alone.
Plus, there is no way the AAC usurps any B12 team, but the other way around is likely. I think BYU has a better shot now than ever - not saying it’ll happen, and I’m not saying BYU’d accept if offered. But Indy has worked. By any realistic metric it’s worked for BYU.
