From my understanding she never said anything about her fearing getting

hurt. That's something the commentators speculated about during her vault. But again, not something Biles expressed. What she did say at the press conference she gave was that she was stressed out, not having fun, and wasn't there for herself anymore, so she needed to take some time to refocus.
