This is why I’m a little bit baffled with all the mocking of A&M
Most of the Big 12’s demise is because of Texas making everything about them. They drive out most of the top programs, only to leave for the SEC a few years after. Can you really blame A&M for not wanting Texas in the conference?
And I know, it might impact recruiting, and A&M has other reasons for not wanting Texas… But by all available evidence, Texas has proven to be a massive pain in the neck as a conference partner.
